I was lucky enough for phoenix77 to befriend me and he has been ever so patient with me never getting around to posting about these laser holders. I am not great with taking pics, but I can now hold the laser steady and get much better pics and I won't mark or scratch up the laser.
These are pretty much custom made and fit any regular photo tripod, (1/2-20 thread). As far as the large nobs go I asked for easier to turn knobs, and these were much easier to turn for me, although the thumbscrews work well and if you are young and arthritis free, they may be what you would prefer. The screw ends that contact the laser body and in some cases the on button are a plastic or synthetic rubber that wont scratch the laser barrel. I was quite glad to get these and I know this pal wants to be a further asset to us on the forum!
