What is the prevailing 'standard' or favorite? I do like the C6's but they do have a problem - the threads for the retaining ring are paper-thin and prone to just tearing off.

Are we still building those or is there a new host in town?

That being said the host that Ehgemus built for me many years back is still my favorite because it does everything I would want it to do, on top of being bullet-proof and very durable. It was out of commission for quite a few years... until today. Whereas it was 638nm before, it is now 488nm. Pictures to come once night falls and I can take some sort-of ok photos.

A lot of people still making their own lasers just buy flashlights off AliExpress and add an aluminum adaptor to make everything fit. Every one of JLasers hosts can be found on AliExpress and you can buy the heatsinks if you don't have access to a lathe and can't be bothered to go to a machine shop.

Nice can’t wait to see some pics. I still remember one of my favorite hosts from him. It was a special build for 14700 battery. Very skinny kind of reminded me of the shape of the pen lights doctors used to use when I was a kid.

I've made custom 6061 aluminium hosts before for myself, but they take SO much time and expensive CNC lathes (I only have 1 and it is only semi-automatic) unfortunately. This means locally made hosts would cost WAY more plus the parts and labor of assembly

All the hosts I use are chinese hosts! That may sound bad but they're great and super affordable keeping my prices very competitive. I also fell in love with Convoy hosts, they're cheap, good looking, durable and the switches always feel tactile and great.

I do plan on eventually releasing my own host. It takes time. Lots of time and money. Keep in mind im just 1 guy in my shed building these things by hand.

But hey, I offer lifetime warranty! Can't beat that.

I was a fan of sinner's hosts myself. I have quite a few of those.

These hosts are beautiful, how much do they cost?
Do you sell them complete or just the body?
Am I wrong about the laser beam or does it tend to be a bit green?
What power do the yellow 12mm modules have?
