I think I figured out my activation problem. The button on the laser is extremely sensitive. If you barely touch it, not even really applying pressure, the laser cuts out.

I think when I release the switch it sometimes doesn’t actually release. This is what keeps it from activating. It would also be why I’m finding half clicks to be so challenging.

Again I ask if anyone can comment on the operate of their multifunction switch. Are they normally so sensitive? Thank you.

Ahh, I see. I didn't buy any attachments tho, I just got the laser, and I'm not very sure why, except to pop baloons at home and that's pretty much it. But ever since I was a kid I was fantasizing about something like that

This laser will be able to do that, and I believe I'll get some more ideas on what else to do with it later on

Ha yep I felt the same way when I got my first one - 1.4 watt wicked arctic blue. It blew my mind when I could burn a little hole in a piece of wood. My 6 watt blue can light stuff on fire and the beam is beautiful although not as stunning as a green

I got my guardian today and the first thing I noticed was the battery end cap was very hard to get off and back on, like the threads don’t match or something. That told me all I need to know about the “quality” of this thing. Is there no QC there ? Or are the standards just very low ?

Hi Gatrezal,

Please check the size of your battery or clean the threads on both ends. Our copper made lasers are all CNC machined from one single bar of copper, what you have there sounds really strange and unusual, please contact us via email and we will see what we can do from there.

Hi,
I do not have a battery for it. I just took off the end cap for the first time to look inside and it was very tight coming off, like it had been cross threaded on. I checked the threads and I noticed quite a few “bites” in them, but no shearing / shavings from cross threading. I checked with a magnifier and saw a spot that looked like mashed/melted threads in the host ( looks like a bad weld bead for comparison). The cap will thread in kind of smoothly maybe almost one turn then it feels like it sticks, gets unstuck, then goes on unbelievably hard. I tried to get some detailed pics but it’s too hard for me to hold the phone, laser and magnifier all at once...(all blurry or bad light).

edit: I got a pic showing the bad spot on the threads in the host...(looks like “bumps” on the threads...i have never seen such a thing before)

(sorry if I’m bitter but this is annoying to say the least.)

Hi,
From the pictures shown it looks like a bad starter thread. This will happen on CNC machines when the tooling doesn't quite set on the material from the start. Its like when turning on a manual lathe and you get chattering . Its due to machine adjustment. Remember a CNC machine cuts the profiles very fast , a CNC head unit has multiple tooling that change according to the codes entered .
Just my opinion
I'm sure Podo will iron this issue out but being so far away it will no doubt take time. Check the outside threads also on the tail cap.
Without knowing the thread pitch to retap is the question . Or you can try to recut the threads with a sharp exacto knife slowly then try to work the threads with a little dab of grease back and forth a little at a time. Bad threads take time to to reverse the issue.

Hmm this is very strange. I have many Sanwus and they have all been fantastic. They all seem pretty simple as far as their construction, which is part of the appeal. I’ve never picked one up and thought ‘cheap’.. but I don’t own a Guardian though.. maybe they are lesser quality. But the other ones seem to be quite solid...
But with stuff like this, the nature of it is kinda like a rugged individualism thing for a lack of a better term when you throw money at a hobby like this overseas. Just me, I’m so low drama, assuming that the later works well in all other aspects, I would just put some small dab of grease on the threads and run the cap on and off several until they fix themselves and wear in right over time.. problem solved..

Anybody ever actually get a refund from these guys for a returned item ? I’m starting to get annoyed, it’s been like a month and they keep saying no we didn’t get it yet. They got it in their US hideout long ago, just not in China yet.

Sorry it took us some time to send your laser to China from our US warehouse, We have just sent you the refund. As for the "damages" you were referring, they are the joint of the cross engraved pattern that you have chosen for the guardian housing. Your laser is basically in new condition, undamaged.

The threads were so bad I couldn’t open the thing...and then it was very hard to get back closed. I have pics of the threads showing the defect. Pretty sure you and everyone else saw. It looks like ants were learning how to weld inside there...
If you can sit there with a straight face and tell me those threads aren’t damaged then you have some issues...and I warn others to not do business with Scamwu !
but whatever, as long as I get my money back I’m happy. Off to buy some shitty modules now.

I am beginning to think he's stripping the threads and damaging hosts himself
He attacked "Lifetime17" sales sight also..

Either way he needs to get help for himself with issues or just might be undermining peoples sales threads so he he can start his own??
