Basically, is the same reason for which i DON'T sell my items, nor here nor in any other places, like instead some peoples do (and, be sure, i'm NOT criticizing any of them
)
Just as example ..... i still have around 8 or 10 PHR pressed in aixiz, with my LDO driver, but how can i sell them outside Italy, if Italian post system ask me 20 or 25 $ just for ship an unregistered envelope til there ? ..... how i can ask, as example, 5 or 6 $ for drivers, if i have then to ask the buyer to pay 15$ of shipping fees ? (not speaking about the time i need for that, time that must be subtracted from the time i need for run my little shop, eat, and occasionally, also sleep
)
I also find some of the prices a bit high, at first sight, but thinking about the rest, i see that they are maybe a little bit high, but not exagerated, at least not the ones from peoples that do very precise lathe works (before run this little shop, i worked some year in a mechanical factory (or whatever you call it in English
) ..... have you never tried to work at lathe a copper bar, drill it, make seps and other details INSIDE, polish all, thread it (maybe in 0,5mm step
), also just keeping the piece in +0.0/-0.02mm standard tolerance ? ..... if not, try ..... it's funny (i'm sure that the ones, here, that works with lathes and copper knows how it's funny ..... :eg:
)
Other than this, and the expenses already listed from other users, there's also to considerate these things that, usually, none think about ..... imprecisions and accidents, that make you discard the piece, and ofcourse also all the time you spent on it ..... tools breaking, it always can happen, and if you've never buyed widia tools, you just can't imagine how much they cost ..... and so on.
I also can be happy to see custom design heatsinks/holders on sale for 5$, but realistically, i think that for see this happens, we first need to find a
working magic wand .....
Just personal reflections, ok ? ..... no offense to anyone, i hope
