Hi Lew ,
The 10440 is a rear switch I posted the pics but they didnt appear . The 14550 is a key switch just to let you know.

Thats great like to see that 520 in action, I will be coating a Trans Green 1X14500 host today . Also have some Trans Orange powder coming should be cool in that color.
Need to do a trend Red for the diode you sent me. What was the current setting again I think you said 400mA.

Thinking about some flakes and pearl finishes so many choices its hard to keep up on all the new color variations.

How about a reflective chrome like coating, such as this auto wrap....also could you wrap or dip a host?

Actually your translucent coatings have that quality because of the aluminums reflectivity, I also wonder about a wrap/dip as far as heat transfer to the air ......... maybe it's not such a good idea, your translucent is likely a better way to go.

Hi Red,
Yes thats the purpose of translucent pigments, they shoe whats under the coatings. But there is away to achieve that finish, first coat would be a silver chrome, then apply a chose color pigment. After the base chrome coat is cured and cooled, put it back in the oven till it reaches about 475 to 500 degrees . Then take it out and Hot coat over the chrome ,it will flow out over the piece. Its a very tricky process .

Oh I just purchased a clear powder coat, going to try on some copper hosts. This might be a better approach than a clear lacquer spray as we discussed in some past threads.
