Hi Eracoy,
Thank You the coatings are something different and very durable, chip resistant hard. The translucent powders are great but also the solids to. Doing a 505nm diode next in a pen size. I would do a 1X14500 pen ,but trying to keep the host size small for EDC carry. The Teal powder really accents the WL here. I also have a solid Aqua Blue powder thats cool to. Just ordered some RED,GREEN and BLUE translucent also. Great for heat sinks and focus adapters in flashlight mods, Just started again to machine customs , been busy with chores.

New 490nm diode in a 1X10440 EDC ,AL machined host with a Flex drive 220 mA , powder coated in a translucent teal . My camera doesn't pick up the powder color but in real time its the same color as the beam .

Great looking build L, Love the edc sized builds and this is sure to make a happy camper even happier :beer:
Output looks incredibly clean too, no sign of the box. I haven't read so far if this new 490 diode has the box or not with a G lens?

Yes it is the new 490 / 3 element lens and the beam is clear . This build took me by surprise with the translucent powder coating and the color of the WL together.
Thanks for looking buddy ... These new diodes are sweet and I also bought 505nm diodes and these are case NEG - which is great for an easier build. The 505 color is really nice to .

Thanks I though it would be great to match the WL and the finish on the host..

@ Alaskan,
I thought of anodizing but its way to caustic of a process, Acid and an electrical charge. Decided to go with powder coating and its more durable and more scratch resistant that anodizing. And with translucent powders the look is more pleasing. The solid color powder are greta also like on the sinks on some of the sales builds.

Yes glad its going to a good home, yes the WL and coating match very close to make it come together. Working on another same powder color but in 1x14500 . Its a little larger due to the battery size but still small enough for an EDC carry. Just waiting on DTR to send my driver order.. Thanks Buddy..
