Sale thread/ Hosts/Heat Sinks/Focus adapters/lasers

The sharp 495nm and osram 488nm should make some nice night time beams, almost blue white even, a beam deserving a good looking host. ;)

I will be on the lookout for a nice single battery host as will many others I expect to house these new diodes.

BTW I recently put an 06 diode in the heat sink Lifetime17 made for me, it's a good looking heat sink threaded for the 3XBE.

Hi Red,
That came out great yes that sink should do the job perfect to dissipate the heat. Aluminum does a great job at that i feel it in all my own builds. Nice looking host and full build.

Rich:)

Yea it's a fun burner, 4.5A SXD and 3x26650 cells. The 3XBE really makes it happen. :eg: The alignment is spot on, that's what you want with a BE, start wide and finish tight, that's the RX for a burners delight. :D

I have some ideas that I will talk to you about later, I really love the look of deep fins, I know it's more work but they look great and add surface area for extra cooling.

Another nice thing about having threads for the BE is it allows is easier use of the G7 lens in the 7mm long housing, this is a great lens when using a 3XBE with our MM blues, otherwise you are working with just a few threads to attach your adaptor and BE.

Hi
That build is killer came out sweet. I made in the past BE adapters that slide over the bezel with nylon tipped set screws also. All you do is set the primary lens then slide the adapter on with the B E and your done. The threads incorporated into the sink is another way of making it work. I been busy and had no time to build for my self. After I get through these few jobs to do I want to machine some single cell hosts for the 495’s and 505’s in either 10440 or 14500’s . Stocked up on some brass that should make a nice host. Rear switch and some side button.

Rich:)

That's a good looking burner you have there, Red, that Sanwu 3X BE really puts the finishing touch on it.

It also looks like you're the new, resident poet here at LPF, "start wide and finish tight, that's the RX for a burners delight. I like it, it rolls right off the tongue! :crackup:

@Rich - That's a sweet looking H.S. :gj:

Hi BT
Red did a great job with that build plenty of power.
Thanks I enjoy machining wish I had more time I have so many ideas. Members been sending pm’s for some different things that’s all good.

Rich:)

New comers..this Lifetime17 Thread is a blessing for builds and hosts and sinks:):)
Do not be afraid to send him a PM for anything, big or small..They don't come any friendlier or cheaper than builder Lifetime17 aka "Rich":wave:

Hey, Rich. I finally got my driver from DTR so I was going to put my 495nm laser together, but the 501B host I bought from you for this build has no set screw in it. I checked all my other hosts, which are many, and none have the correct size. I am not equipped to drill and tap a new one, so.......

Hi Paul,
Sorry about that i probably had a few jobs on the bench at one time gets a little hectic some times. I sent you a PM its either a 6=32 or the smaller 4-40 i can send them you like let me know. Oh and the last green 501B was a free one.

Rich:)

Hi, 495nm Brass Build...:thanks::sold::sold::beer:
Hey is an all brass side button host takes a single 14500 cell /G2 lens / Nano driver set to 275mA. The focus adapter hides the set screw and theres a copper rivet to accent the tail cap all polished bright. Thank for looking..

Rich:)
