Thats a NICE increase! I plan to use a 405nm G1 as well for my build. I dont need a perfect dot, as long as the beam is as nice as that photo, I will be a happy guy

That's the main thing needed for these...

Lens mounting and testing for the best lens set up.

I'll be mounting the stock lens into an AixiZ brass nut to try it out (as many others will be doing as well I'm sure), and then we will see what everybody comes up with...

I'll buy that when you have them available Jay.

EDIT: Wow that is a nice beam shot. I am planing on using my 405g1 lens too. All of this is insane.

Beam should be better with longer focal length lenses. Maybe aixiz lens can do better job. I really want to see how Aixiz 405nm glass lens behave with these diodes.
Fatter beam means better divergence.

I'll wait jayrob tests.

@jayrob, if possible make beamshots with each lens focused to infinity. (and try to measure beam dimensions at 5-6 meter or longer distance)
And try to measure FL of lens from projector.
Maybe this lens can be very good for its price

Oh snap that finished MUCH faster than I planned! I have money coming into my paypal from the bank. I started the process yesterday. It'll be a few days before I'll have the money in paypal.

I'll make a few housings once I get the diode/lens in.

Now all I am going to need is someone to make a host/heatsink package and im set.

The sooner someone gets hosts going the better. I would like to order mine before I get my diode.

AGH! Don't tempt me, I have a mini-van and I am about 120 miles, that is, about 2hrs drive... about an hour and a half if I "just" drive at 80mph!
