rgb?

people have been making rgb's with these diodes... but how? since these diodes start lasing at 200mw, according to chroma the red you need is 800mw's?!?! how can you even find one of these?

They don't start at 200mW, they turn on at 200mA, which is still a low power.

Mine turns on below 200mA, i can even see a faint dot on the wall at 90mA, but it kicks into high gear at 230mA, anything above just brightens the beam/dot...But its main kick-in is 230mA for my laser.

Yes. At 200mA (current), they typically put out around ~50mW (power).

The mA only about equals the mW once the power is increased a considerable amount. I think they start to be the same at about 500mA.

With 405nm laser diodes and the right lens it was basically just that a lot of the time

I tried combining my 445 and RGY scanner the other day, I have 200mW 640nm and 150mW green, and the 445 clocked in at about 750mW. The white was actually pretty good.
