Hi everyone! Today I will be doing a review on my 5W laserbee lpm.

I purchased this lpm on eBay for a total price of 304$ use (Including shipping which was 35$) The unit was paid for on October 1, 2010 (Friday) and shipped on October 4, 2010 (Monday). I received my unit here in the us on October 13, 2010. The unit would have been shipped Friday im sure but it was like 9 here and i don't think Canada's Post runs Saturday.

Jerry packaged the lpm in pink foam wrap taped up and placed it in a box with packing peanuts.

I also want to note. Jerry pmed me some tips on disassembly so i did not break my unit :)

There were no instructions included but assembly was easy enough and did not need any. Jerry told me he would note my issue about instructions in the future.

The lpm is very lightweight but does not feel cheap... Very sturdy and does not rattle. It was clean with no fingerprints.
There's also a really neet thing about this lpm. On the back of the unit it has a compartment where your 9v battery would go but since this unit plugs into the wall you can store stuff inside it!!!

I then proceed to test the unit. After a quick hookup I had it ready to take some beam! The digital screen was a brilliant and bright blue/cyan color. The sensor head was slightly cold so the numbers were decreasing on the screen after I had zero's it in but after it warmed up it would stay a flat 0000.

I'm going to upload some photos and a video of it in action later and that will show the performance of the laser meter. Hope u all enjoyed the review!

look forward to the "full version" of the review :)

Very nice. My 3.2W has been great. Lasersbee really makes a good product. No cheap stuff in his units.

He asked me if I would make a review and I couldent say no. That's how quality this is ΠΠ

Mario I'm not sure if it would void my warrenty if I opened the meter.

Yeah lazeerer I thought the same thing. Though now that my lasers are metered this thing is gonna collect dust. So in the future it will be for sale :)

Then How would you know the mW of the laser you buy after you Sale it if you decide too. J/K

Aww, and here I figured if he wanted you to review it we'd see more than just an ebay panel meter hooked to an ophir head :can:

And it cost how much?

At that price point we'd all have expected some form of data logging, or computer connectivity.

I wonder what else you could get with $305

its hard work making an LPM,
and he puts lots of time and effort into his meters

That wasn't the point.

A Laserbee meter with data logging can be had for under $219.99.

Factor in another $100 for a thermopile, and theoretically you wouldn't have to lose the data logging as a matter of cost.

All it looks like is a panel meter LED connected to a thermopile, along with some circuitry to allow zeroing.

For all that it matters I could stock up on Alphas and some Ophir heads, and start making a massive profit too.
