Trying to place an order, and when I click to checkout/log into PayPal, as soon as I log in it gives me this message:

At this time, we are unable to process your request. Please return to Cobb Carpet Supply and try another option.

I've tried 3 times, no luck. ?

Boosted;

PayPal processes that direct order page you tried,

so they must be having some difficulties at the moment.

I sent you a PM with alternate ordering method
(PayPal to my email address).

Thanks;
LarryDFW

P.S. Got your PayPal payment.
Cells will go out tomorrow by 1st class mail.

LarryDFW,

I consider purchasing a pair of 18650 Li-Ion Batteries and a Dual Charger to replace my O-like batteries and charger. But before I order, two questions for you:

1. Will I get more output power from my lasers with your batteries compared to the batteries that i originally got from O-like?

2. I am also interested in good 16340 Li-Ion Batteries and a Dual Charger for them. Do you sell them and if not, can you give me a link to a good seller?

TIA.

The "brand name" Samsung & Sanyo cells I distribute have much lower Internal Resistance when under load.

This gives more power for the laser diodes that require it.

I have not found quality #16340 Li-Ion cells (and I have looked).

I have been testing some new Samsung 3000mah 18650 cells for a couple of months.

They have a higher DC voltage throughout their discharge.

They also have a new safety layer to eliminate overheating.

They upped my direct-drive 445nm laser output about 10%.

I have some of them on order with expected delivery mid-December.

Are those the ones that have the 4.35V fully charged voltage compared to the normal 4.2V. If so have you found a good charger that does not require modifications to charge them to the appropriate voltage?

Yes, those are the 4.35 VDC Samsung cells.
According to these independent tests on CPF,
they are the highest "Energy" cell on the market (at over 11 W/hr):

I charge them with a digital power supply:

CottonPicker on CPF marketplace is making dedicated 4.35 VDC chargers for them:

Many RC hobbyist chargers can be set to 4.35 VDC also.

They will also last many more cycles, if charged to 4.2 VDC.

P.S. Got my DTR Red Mitsu laser diode today. I want to see 3/4 watt of Red.

Yes I have one of CottonPicker's chargers. I still use my bench supply as well since his charger is a little slow. But they do have the neat little display to show you the progress.;)

They will probably last more cycles charging to 4.2V but I wanted them so that with a boost driver they will pull less current when driving a 405 or 445 diode. Also If I remember correctly if you only charge them to 4.2V the capacity is like 2600mAh.

Anyway they are great cells and they also have very good discharge rates. Glad to see you carrying them.

Enjoy the 635. It is an amazing diode.:D

Received my charger and 2700mah cell today! :thanks:

Now I just need to fix my laser... sigh

Received this message from Foulmist after receiving his new Samsung cell:
Hey Larry,

I just received the lenses and battery today. No sign of the previous package but this one arrived FAST! O.o

The battery is just fantastic! I love it. I will purchase more after new year for sure!

Hey Larry, your cell works much better than my old cheapy TrustFire!

With Trustfire it was outputting ~200mW @ 1.2A, but now with your battery its about 1.1W at the same current!

:thanks: again!

TuhOz,

That is a HUGE increase (500%).

Mainly due to the higher average voltage, the Samsung cell will maintain.

The increased capacity will also maintain high power output,

for longer run times.

Hi LarryDFW,

If I buy the new Samsung 3000mah #18650 Li-Ion Batteries, how can I charge them to 4.35v if the dual charger on your website charges each cell to 4.2V ?
