hello, I have this lovely diode and I made a build with it. The driver is OFL 74 from odicforce variable current boost driver 0-300mA+. I was driving it perfectly with batteries, but I tried using 4.5V DC adaptor with max output of 600ma. I knew diode could handle it even if the driver can't hold to 300ma.
The problem is that after running it with this power supply the diode is somehow weaker. It looks like 50mw beam. Still visible and producing heat and no change of the colour, but it is very weak. So I cannot determine if the driver is fucked or the diode is partially fucked
I mean the diode is not fried if it still makes decent output and beam and everything.... It has decent heatsink, so it should hold on peak high power. (the whole think happened for second, no sparks, no shorts.....?

Any ideas?
Thanks

I really have never seen better forum with so much detailed information and tutorials.... It is definitely worth it to support it..
