Post your mA and mW

FF Racer,

My apologies. I see that you were actually making it a point to take the heated second and third readings while attempting to develop an average.

Interesting data. Yours is hotter than mine BUT needs higher voltage for the current.

@FF-R Your data is sooo close to mine, it's amazing. Is this an ElectroF diode like mine?

These diodes are all over the place.

Yeah... I only tested the one... I blew the first one screwing with it...:cryyy:
I'll test the 3rd one from EF (A130) and an A140 from Dan on PL
when I get a chance and post here....

And it's almost perfectly linear. Looks like a damn good diode to me.
It may look a little more linear because my readings were based on 100mW
power increments then I took the current and voltage readings.

@ArtDen... Thanks for plotting the Graph...:gj:

True, but it still looks like there are no kinks or dips along the way, wouldn't you say?

So far it has been hard for me to make any conclusions about these diodes as far as electronic sources are concerned. Has anyone out there concluded that there are differences in diode models yet? Such as between A130 and A140, for example. It appears that there is too much variance in all of the tests to gather anything at this point.

At 650ma mine starts to feel warm after about 60 seconds. At 875ma it starts to feel warm pretty quick 30-45 seconds.

Yes, I had the reading on the digital power supply in addition to separate volt and Amp meters to verify the readings. I also kept track of the module temperature by giving the diode a rest between tests. I never saw the temperature above 100 deg F. I believe this is similar to how David had suggested one time.
You should see in almost all cases the highest reading is first an lowest is last. Readings near 1 amp and above were of now value to me as they were all over the place.

Mike, Yes same diode source. I had talked to Dr Lava telling him my 1st attempt to plot both the diode and my LaserCheck became so hot I did not trust the readings. I did some reading and saw David's suggestion to pause a bit between reading so each run was the same method. My second test took me a couple of hours to complete.

Built my Chrome Mini today, but after jumping the bridges on my microboost, my test load decided to burn and it read 1.92V coming from the driver So i maxed the pot and built it anyways.

Its shooting out 975mw out of an aixiz acrylic ,so i'm assuming it must be set to 1.1, or 1.2A or about there, just waiting on my glass 405 aixiz lenses.

Diode is a A130.

Shouldn't other data, such as whether the diode is an a130 or a140 also be included in these graphs?
