Post your dog

@Infinitus,
Is it just me or is your dog totally doing the "F**k that s**t" face?

I haven't taken a picture of my dog for a while. He's gotten BIG. And more and more lazy :D

Time to necro this great thread!

Here are my two American Staffordshires, Nitro and Zoe. They are brother and sister, Zoe is the one with more white than brown. They are kin to pitbulls, but are less stocky. Remember "Peetie" from the "Little Rascals"?

These dogs are some of the most intelligent dogs I've ever trained. My wife & kids needed more (not dog people initially). One session in the back yard when they were young, and they had it! Sit, stay, come, you name it!

Of course they all start off cute and small, just wanting to cuddle...

Then they get bigger...

...and bigger (they'll do anything for a bone filled with peanut butter)...

...then they'll take up all the space on your california king, leaving you to sleep on the couch!!!!

I have another one, but I don't have any pictures of her. She's a great looking golden lab/pit mix. Maybe I'll snap one of her this weekend.

My little rat. I've had her since I was 15 years old. So she's going on 13 now.

This is our dog Petey. Originally named P.D., for puppy dog, by my grandkids. The name just kind of morphed into Petey.

This is him on the day he adopted us by wandering up the driveway and never leaving. That was 2 1/2 yrs. ago.

The same guy after a haircut and bath.

This is Kiley
She is a 20 month old Shepard mix
My brother-in-law lost his house and was on the way with her to the pound, when my 10 year old niece called
She asked if I could "save" her dog
How do you say, "No" to that?

We are looking for a new home for her
She is petite for a Shepard
She weighs in at about 55 pounds
She is spayed, house broken, crate trained, and takes a walk with me every morning
She comes with everything you need except her crate.
The crate I am using belongs to my daughter-in-law
She is perfectly comfortable resting in her crate for up to nine hours
She loves her crate and spends much of her time sleeping in it with the door open
Usually around 8:30pm (after I have taken her outside to poop), she will simply "go to bed" of her own volition

She has been through both basic and intermediate obedience training at Petsmart

I live in a mobile home
Despite our daily walk, she needs more activity
I'm old and fat
She needs someone with a yard and maybe someone who wants to take her to the park and/or for runs
She loves to run
We *think* that she is mixed with greyhound
She loves kids and if you throw the tennis ball for her, you are her friend forever

Her only "issues" are that she tries too hard sometimes to get me to play with her
I'm not letting her burn up the extra energy she needs
Hence the need for more activity
Also, when we are on a walk, if a "little" dog barks or appears, she thinks she is supposed to chase it
She will usually just "stare down" the cats we meet on our walk, but little dogs are different

I have no idea what she would actually do if I let her go after the little dog
I do know that she gets along just fine with my wife's two miniature dachshunds
When I first got her, she would cower away from most everything
The "socialization" at the obedience classes have brought her out of her shell nicely
I think that if a little dog (or cat) "stood up" to her, she would back down

If you are interested or know someone who would appreciate a really sweet dog, please let me know

If I was graduating this Spring, I would drive over and pick her up right away. She's a great looking dog.

That's really not an issue... it's the same with every high energy dog I've ever known. They want to, and need to play. An hour a day of walking is basically the minimum required activity level.

She is a beautiful dog. Best of luck to you in finding her a a good home.

I really want to get a big (ad friendly) dog that i can take with me when I go hunting or fishing, ect...
Though after the coyotes showing up in my yard the other night, maybe I need 2 so they will have each other's back.
