I am looking into making a blu-ray laser. I have the NAMES of what I need -
And yes im going with a lavadrive cuz he can preset the mA.rkcstr cant.
Anyways, could anyone post where I could get these parts for the cheapest price on the web?:

A PHR-803T blu-ray diode press-fitted into an AixiZ Module

A battery holder that can hold 2 AA batteries with leads soldered on

A momentary switch or a toggle switch if that is easier to use

Soldering wire with flux

Thats pretty much all.

Uhm, sorry, but wrong.

A battery holder that can hold 2 AA batteries

not enough for lit a phr blu-ray as laser.

Also, i don't see here the more important part, the DRIVER for current regulation.

You need: or a linear driver (can do it yourself with an LM317 or an LM1117 and few other), and in this case, you need at least 9 Volt ..... or a step-up driver, like drlava or any other PWM ones, and then you can use a 3,7 Volt LI-ION cell, or 3 x 1,5 Volt batteries

I think you should actually look around yourself before asking for us to do all the work

^ aren't better 3 cells, with lavadrive ? ..... i was thinking that with only 2, it was a bit underpowered, for a blue ray.

Anyway, you are all more experts than me, about lavadrive ..... i still have to try it :)

minimum input for lavadrive is 2.5vdc 2AA's are 3vdc. and they have enough mah to handle it.

Rckstr sells preset drivers, they are even cheaper than the regular ones..

Regardless of which driver you buy, it is still a good idea to double-check the current yourself. You never know if it got mixed up with someones open can red driver (400mA~).

Check the B/S/T forum for a diode, otherwise a few members own sites here which you can pick up a PHR for a reasonable price.

Running x2 AA alk batteries is 2.8-3.0v which is borderline not enough for a flexdrive. Use either 3 Alk AA/AAA, 2 lithium AA/AAA, or a 14500(AA) 3.7v.

Or 1 X 3.7 Lion...Duh

Mo use the search feature. No one is going to hand feed you something that is posted at least 50 times. If you dont want to learn than buy a pre-made module. Stop posting simple questions and figure it out yourself.

I know it's a lot easier to get the girlfriend to bring you a beer....
but sometimes you just got to get it for yourself...

You can easily find the prices and availability of most of the items...
right here....

Or like T_J said... you could even use the [Search] button... IMO
