I would not trust this to be something you would want, Peter. They call it 5 watts, but the meter they are using shows 4.5 watts. It is likely a NUBM44 with a single 26650 battery. The spot size at 17 feet is likely larger than the 18mm they claim. That host is small considering the waste heat it must dissipate.

They say there 5.6 but no specs available, could be anything but likely not worth much, the notches are not all that unique AFAIK.

I made an offer on them. Will have to see if he will take it or not. Not worth $2.00 each to me to find out what they are.

He made me a counter offer of $74.10. I declined that and told him it isn't worth more than my offer to find out what these are.

Yea, any more than you're willing to throw away is too much, chances are there nothing special, my bet is 200-300mw 808's

He answered my email, measured them, he now thinks 3.3 mm diameter, they must be those Sharp 780 nm 100 mw CDROM diodes, I have a hundred of them already, they sell for about a dollar each from China. The shade of AR coating also suggested IR to me.

He didn't change his listing yet after learning from me they were probably 3.3 mm and confirming it himself...
