I'd like those lens housings more if they were a bit longer. They are just 8 mm long, but the housings need to be 11 mm. I have several aspheric lenses that could be used in a housing, but only if it is 3 mm longer. Some of my lenses have a greater FL than the ones that come with the NDB7875.

Probably the cheapest 589nm I seen so far, yes the shipping is another $100, but it still comes out cheaper than other yellow lasers. Not sure on the credibility, and the 5mw-80mw power specification is not very specifying. :cool:

That second one isn't a red. It is another 589nm pointer in a different host. I think there is something missing in the translation. I have my doubts about these lasers too.

The pen 589nm has two good ratings but yeah I don't trust those either, would be nice to see more feedback from people who bought them.

So this may not be a super deal, but I'll throw it out there anyway.

Looks like a 3W 532nm laser head. To make it work one would need to build something to run the diode, TEC, ktp heater etc. So not necessarily easy... but not too hard either. With the make an offer option it could be a reasonable deal, I don't know:thinking:

I bought one of those from another seller a couple of years ago or more, they put out a very nice little beam. I had set up three adjustable power supplies to do it, monitoring two thermistors with a DVM to adjust the power to the diode and crystal to keep them at the right temperature. It was a big challenge to do so by hand, having to continually jump from adjusting one power supply to the other to keep everything at the right temperatures, but it worked until i became tired of the one armed paper hanger act.
