PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please sub

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

Sorry, Chris. I..I bought it. I wish. :)
It is a lot of money.

Curtis, also, be aware this being an H series lab unit the beam quality isn't going to be as good as the F series which what this unit would be in if it had the better beam quality of TEM00. UK has this similar laser and I think it does TEM01.

Just as a heads up.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

Thanks for the heads up, if I get it i'll have to wait and see.

I asked the seller about the beam quality and this was his response to that.

About the beam, after 10 minutes of working I can see a normal Gauss mode. Power is stable, no flickering at see.

Sounds promising, but 594's are known for their instability.

...It comes with the power supply/controller, right?

Either way, that's awesome! Also, you're mad! :D

THe seller says the specs are:
model MGL-H593.5
used, in fully working condition, 50+ mW output
laser head + power supply complete.
from manufacturer specs:
TEM00 mode
beam diameter about 3 mm in aperture
polarization ratio >1:100
M2 factor <1,5
beam divergense <2 mrad

The ebay unit lists identical to the specs in the MGL-F-593.5 you posted so.... perhaps they were looking at the F spec. the H being no longer listed,on the CNI web site --who knows?
The H model 593.5 was eliminated and was a 50mW,60mW...80mW unit
see: http://www.eforcelaser.com.au/PDF/MGL-H-593.5.pdf with a M2 factor of <2 and was TEM00
The F was listed as a 100mW to 150Mw unit with an M2 factor of < 1.5 and TEM00 see: ³È»Æ¹â¼¤¹âÆ÷£¬593.5 nm ¹ÌÌ弤¹âÆ÷ however, the data sheet of the time shows it as being 50mW to 150 mW same everything as today see:
http://www.eforcelaser.com.au/PDF/MGL-F-593.5.pdf

Probably CNI decided to offer only the F because it covered 50mW to 150mW range and there was little if any call for a slightly cheaper H covering 50mW to 80mW cost to make being about the same--only pennies different.

Either way is a good price @ min, bid $400 buy it now $600 if you just want to see a wavelength--- a 50mW MHL-F-593,5 is about $4000 retail see: https://www.ultralasers.com/lasers-series.php?cat=32

The beam quality or H is fine and is TEM00----beam quality makes no difference at all unless you have an actual purpose for the laser that requires it

No PS or controller for that price, I can deal with that, I have a nice lab power supply which can run it and I will have to build up the TEC controller.

Easier than trying to build my own summed 589 and 577 is a nicer yellow than 589. Thanks. Still going to be a project to get running.

Oh definitely! 577 is pretty darn close to true yellow, whereas 589 is much more on the golden side. Hopefully we see more 577's around the forums in the future.

Coherent 577nm Genesis MX577-3000
Only for $3,500 anyone?

Fantastic find Arctic.

Edit: Alaskan bought it and now owes you one forever, I think

Kisses and hugs to ArcticDude, my dream just came true. Accepted 2K.

Great price considering it is a new unit not a used one and the guy was asking $3500---both lucky stars and all the LPF +reps were with you on that buy.

Awesome killer laser at a great price --that is an OMG-C-577 kick ass output laser:crackup:
Can't believe you got that one--finally at long last a yellow and condition is listed as "New" to boot.
You have been looking every which way for a long time including dozens of hours of how to build one yourself---deserve it and a great one at that.

A very yellow, yellow/577nm + a Coherent Genesis is so much better quality than most anything CNI does---
Coherent is the acknowledged world laser industry leader for real reasons.
They are a very productive, state of the art, highest quality "gold standard" products company
A dream come true --rare event--
