Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

OK, I will have them shipped home and get with you later.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

Sounds good to me.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

OK, you two guys get first dibs at them later, if you want.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

Thank you, Chris. :yh:

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

Do you want to take delivery and check them out? Hold them for others who might want thrm?

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

Alaskan, if Paul is removing the spectro parts and you want to sell me one I think it'd be a good idea to send it to him. I already have a similar 473nm laser, looking just for the spectro parts and that may decrease shipping costs.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

Just waiting for his word to send them to him and if so, a PM with his address.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

Sorry, I had a nurse here doing wound care, then the 473nm laser with the spectro showed up and I've been looking over it. Sure, Chris. I can do that. Do you still have my address or do you need me to send it to you? I'll PM you, just in case.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

Got mine apart already and these are the older 473nm units that have the pump beam shaping optics in them. MFG date on mine is 09/05/2003.
I also now have the software for the spectro from the seller.

These have the pump shaping optics!? Excellent! My last one didn't have them.

Good to know you have the software too.

Let us know how you get on. :)

Going to be slow progress on my end. Gotta find my arduino for the serial connection as well as figure out which pins are needed on the DB9 connector. A pdf the seller gave me even said what commands the spectro accepts aswell as the baud rate so that will help quite a bit.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

The one I received today has a manufacture date of 12/23/04. The spectrometer uses a narrow bandwidth as configured. Pixel #280 to pixel #310. It is buried inside and I'm in the process of getting it out. I think I will have five more coming from Alaskan. We'll see how it goes. I've got the laser head out, but not apart as that isn't what I am trying to do here.

Mine uses 1310-1331 according to the sticker on it.

Pinout for the DB9 connector, as in for the serial connection? The driver for the laser uses a DB9 connector for power too, I can grab the pinout for that if you need it.

If it's for serial, isn't it standard RS-232?

Sounds like you have some good info already!

Excellent, looking forward to more info there!

Pinout for both would be great. Else I will trace circuits for a while.

Laser Controller Power Pinout:

Found here (there's other pinouts for the controller too): http://www.repairfaq.org/sam/laserscl.htm#sclbwt1

Lots of good information on this thread for the laser (none for the spectro IIRC): https://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/showthread.php/11161-BWB-10-OEM-473nm-laser-module-info-thread

I'd try the standard RS232 pintout for the serial connector.
