B&W TEK BRC100 Spectrometer 399-785nm w/ Power Supply Fiber Optic BRC100-OEM | eBay

OEM B&W TEK Spectrometers for $200, a nice deal if they are aligned. Seems similar to the ones offered by science-surplus.
The seller can only confirm that they ship with a software but has no other idea about them.

These are listed as "Grade B" devices and there is specific mention that it doesn't include anything other than is specified in the listing. So software is your own problem. That is a mighty cheap price for a working professional spectrometer. It has a 14 day warrantee against showing up DOA, but that's it. If you are willing to risk at least $200.00 on a working one and after you source software to run it, then go for it. :undecided:

Actually the seller confirmed for me that a software is included but I'm still afraid that it will require alignment

Yeah, the optical bench is similar to the one in my spectrometer, though the resolution is better than 1nm on mine. I spent a lot of time in contact with Norm Hofffer, an engineer at Ocean Optics to get mine fine tuned and working properly. It was several months in fact. Does yours come with the fiber optic cable? Mine didn't and they are not cheap either. If you end up getting it I wish you good luck. It was a money pit for me.

RC, I have one @2.8A, the color change is considerable but it is very risky.

Got a couple new, unharvested, ones on auction for $20.00 each. Haven't looked to see if they are still holding auctions for these diodes, though.

Here we go again. Looks like the same type listing as before.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

At 17 cents a piece, why not??
You can start a new continue's lasing record on 50 of them and then have 50 to play with.
It's one of the deals that even you don't need them you just have to buy them because:rolleyes:

If that is real Alaskan then that could be incredible news for our hobby as diodes are venturing into the yellow band. And not low power either. But I can't say i'm not a little sceptical.
Their working pic is a screenshot of which could easily be a 589nm DPSS.

Listing removed, deleted my post.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

Says it all IMO. Couldn't find anything on 589nm diodes anywhere.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

Why would they bother faking that and then pulling the item?

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

No clue Atomicrox.
