Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

More interesting items for us all. Good find Diachi. :)
Why do 561's have to be so expensive. :(

Not much demand/higher complexity.

The Coherent Compass range is expensive to begin with, being such high quality. SLM, long coherence length, arguably the best beam specs I've ever seen (spec is 0.32mm at aperture). M2 factor is probably as close to 1 as you'll ever see, at least in anything that size. But a 561? That's probably a custom job, thus way more expensive than your regular 532nm Compass. Not to mention that one is tested so that immediately bumps up the asking price.

Edit: That may have been a rhetorical question? :p

Nice find Alaskan, I was looking for a couple of them before, but I have dismantled the system of which I would of used them. :)

These are used quite a bit in holography. I don't have one, but I've seen them set up. In a two beam system one often needs to be able to split the beam by fractions and these work perfectly for that purpose.

Anyone know what the deal on this "transparent" PBS cube is? I haven't seen any listed which were clear on all surfaces before.

1pc PBS Transparent 630nm-660nm Polarizing Beam Splitter Cubes 10X10mm | eBay

Not all surfaces are clear (or well polished) :can: Two of them are not polished.

You never know when you need other four. You might try to built some interferometer when the beam comes back through the same prism.

0.2mW and a very unstable output apparently. Unfortunate, may not be worth going for depending on what's causing the low output power and instability.

Still, good way to see 612nm if you don't mind dropping the cash! :p

Could be useful if you want to get into building gas lasers!

Spare tube for a JDSU 2214 head. Although ... Seeing a tube run without any airflow worries me... Hopefully that was a very short run.

Decent price for an ALC60 - The dimensions on that head are different from the ALC60X heads I'm familiar with, just looks ... different? Although the tube looks the same as always. It also has a gas reservoir which I don't think I've ever seen on those before...

ALC Ar/Kr - Looks like it's doing 568nm and 488nm in the picture to me.

Thanks, I think I see my mistake, I was reading into the description that they were clear on all sides and the photo was showing a regular PBS cube compared to their "clear" PBS cube, but instead their cube turned on its side. Top and bottom don't need to be clear, they aren't used, duh. Maybe I am still not catching on, that he meant what you were referring to, all four sides.

Yep! I was actually quite interested in that one, though I already have a 612. Nice find :)

Could always be an alignment issue.

Same here, If I didn't already have a really nice one, I would have already grabbed it. :)

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

It's HR coated for red to infrared and passes the blue wavelengths. It would work for 488nm argon holography as well as other things.
