PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please sub

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

That wavelength is very weak to the eye but will blind you without a flash... well, not much of a flash compared to 532nm which milliwatt to milliwatt is 100 times brighter to the eye. The thing which impresses me about these single mode 405nm diodes is they can be focused to such a fine spot, even across a room, and burn like the dickens... but as far as the amount of visible light, very unimpressive

Yeah man they are one of my favorite wl's I have quite a few of them. What I meant by that post was I might try that particular diode.. 26$ for 700mw's of 405! I usually only buy from DTR or other members I trust cause I no what I'm getting..

Here's a box of goodies, a mix of colored as well as IR diodes too, make him a offer, he usually will take a good amount less. I bet if you offer 250 he might take it. I suspect the colored laser diodes are low power, I don't know what wavelength. When I asked about the background on the stuff I was given this answer:

Well the tactical stuff is just a huge array of different devices, one is military grade I believe, one is 1W, and the rest are unknown. Most of he metal tubes they go in are missing parts, but the internal components and lasers are all functional. I bought this stuff for years, never knowing what I was buying but it led me to the industrial stuff which is what I prefer to sell. A bunch of the same-looking gold modules are 3V (middle first pic, black wire coming out of the base). The coherent diodes and drivers/spare parts all came from a guy that died and his relatives sold them in one lot. The bags they came in had

I'd buy it myself, but I've already over spent again this month on toys.

Cool find! Chances are those diodes are all dead being stored in plastic like that though :/

I wouldn't doubt it. I use to keep my stuff like that sadly it ruined most of it. Now I keep everything like diode and drivers in anti static bags

Here are two HeNe lasers in Israel. I don't need any more:D. If they work the 543nm would be a great deal and the 632nm would still be a OK deal.
If someone in Israel or closer than me could get it with cheaper shipping it would be even a better deal. To me, shipping would be $25.

Both are being sold "As Is'
Red HeNe, Rated at 10mW - (Maybe not a good deal?)
Green HeNe Rated at 2mW

"Make An Offer" option is available also, so maybe they will accept a little lower price. ;)

Edit: there goes my 462nd post :)

No Matt....that red one is rated at 30mW according to the label. It probably won't do that much now seeing as how it was made in '03.
But hell...for 30 bucks I may spring for it.

The label is the absolute max. It won't ever do that. It probably outputs 10-15mW

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

Those are good prices on those heads but shipping them from Israel to the US would be risky due to the high potential for breakage. (not that the USPS has a spotless record for getting things delivered intact either)

Here's a 5a bench supply.

This is supposed to be a thread on deals. That's a standard retail price at best. I will personally sell you a 10A supply for that price.

Hummm.... spectrometer?

100% Useless without supporting optics and software. Additionally, optics will require high-precision alignment, and software will require calibration, typically with known atomic spectra, and 3rd degree polynomial regression.

It's like finding a piston and saying "I bet I can build a car with this."

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

If anyone finds a good price on a spectrometer, please let me know.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

If you know how to add searches to your ebay list, add "science surplus spectrometer," "ocean optics spectrometer," "CCD spectrometer," etc...though I will warn you most ocean optics spectros that pop up are in the UV range.
