KONG-12-27 (Kong-UltraThrow) !!! The ultimate flashlight! Using twelve SSC P7 LEDs (900 lumens per LED), twelve 27mm reflectors, powered from twelve 18650 rechargable Li-Ion batteries (not included). An unbelievable 10,800 lumens minimum brightness (more than twice as bright as many HID flashlights!), possibly the brightest flashlight in the world, dwarfing the brightest handheld HID flashlights available.

The head of this flashlight is 5" diameter, body is 2" diameter, tail cap is 2.5" diameter, overall length is 17.5", and weight is around 6 pounds without batteries. Flashlight has two switches, one for full power, one for low power. 144 watts, and one hefty flashlight, not for the feint of heart. I can light up a house easily at 300 yards, and also light up the entire neighborhood. The twelve 18650 Li-Ion rechargable batteries slide in from the tail end, and all go in the same direction (no worries about correct orientation of the batteries)

I've been saving for one actually... $1499! It's a custom piece that takes 2-3 weeks lead time to make. A guy on CPF makes them. He makes several powerful flashlights that start around $400. This is is biggest!

*12V battery source capable of 40A $100 maybe?
*500-800W inverter. $40
*used magnetic ballast. $40
*400W metal halide lamp. $20
*misc. host material. $50

36,000 lumens... priceless

Sure it's got a 2min warm up time, but sacrifices must be made. The 1000W lamps are 105,000 lumens.

Only if you mistreat them or if they're near the end of their (20,000 hour) life, which, by the way will never be attained on battery power.

^ Oh ..... no, sorry ..... i mean, for mechanical shocks ..... drop on the floor one of them when it's turned on, or hit hard a wall, is dangerous, if it's not in an explosion-proof case ..... and, being a handheld unit, accidents can happen :cryyy:

But i agree with you, a 36.000 lumen flashlight is awesome

Nice. That could only be topped by this 50kw incandescent lamp. It weighs 35 pounds and is three feet tall. It outputs 1,400,000 lumens but has a rated lifetime of only 100 hours. It uses three pounds of tungsten. Biggest incandescent ever built.
