Hey, hey.

I'm always on the look out for Uranium Glass. If you dont know why, you dont own a 405nm laser. So I'm always scanning eBay for deals, and I found these marbles.

These are a great deal. Good deals on marbles do not come around to often. I bought 10 lots of 11 for just under $26. If you buy more than 1 lot dont go through the payment process. After you commit to buy send a message to them and tell them you want combined shipping. They will send you a PP invoice to your email address. They got all 110 marbles in a priority rate small box, and it came in 3 days for under $6.

Enjoy

To make then cracked you put them in your oven at 450F for 30 minutes. Then take a cup and put a piece of paper towel on the bottom. Fill the cup full of ice water, and drop, one at a time, the marbles in the water. Repeat if necessary.

I used to get the original crackled in 100 lots back in 2008 for less than $20.

I've gotten a 100 for ~$16 about 6-7 months ago. They only sell small lots now, for more money. This is the first good deal I've seen since then.

I'm not sure where they come from. I know its not the US. It could be from the Czech Republic, or Japan, but I've looked long and hard for the source and cant find them.

Grab them while you can.

Nothing. They need a UV source to make the uranium glow. The cool thing is the UV doesnt have to be powerful to make them glow. When they are cracked they will shoot small beams in all directions when hit by a laser. Just watch your eyes.

Would'nt that mean a 385nm UV flashlight will be better then a laser?

Might pick up one for 10 bucks from DX

Nice find!, ive been looking for some of those as well. :evil:

However seller mentions that international buyers have to request shipping rates and he will ship only if insurance is available, so im waiting for his reply.

In case he says no, will someone be interested in giving me a hand by re-sell and ship at least one lot to me?. Thanks! :o
