This is the first time I'm building a laser, had actually completed building it 2 days ago when I received the heatsinks.
It was actually my father who had been pressing me to get him one and when the day all the parts arrived, he was too eager to get it done.
Left me with not much time to take pics.
Some of the parts,
Started off with the battery holder while waiting for the heatsinks to arrive.
The driver was glued to the pill, I had reversed the pill so that the leads from the diode to the driver can be kept short.
My soldering skill was just so poor that my father offered to solder the leads to the driver.
Putting them all together
Another Big Boy is born:eg:
No thanks to my poor photography skills, :yabbem:
Yet to be able to get night shots due to the rain.
No animals had been injured while I was having fun with it
But the same can't be said for those pesky little insects.
People I have to thank (in the order I had acquired them)
DTR - M140 diodes & modules
Cajun Laser - the drivers (X-Drive 1.25a and 1.8a) , external springs etc.
Ryan - For this great GB
Eud - Heatsinks
Blord - Allowing us to copy his idea.
And many others in this forum whom had shared their knowledge so that I could have even built this laser.:yh:
