Well, it turns out that the 3xAAA sled is parallel and only giving up 4VDC...time to find a tutorial on making it in series...

Or, if you got, use a boost driver.

What diode are you powering with it, again?

It's a 9mm build. I've already got the driver tuned and mounted in the pill. I will just go through the trouble of making the sled in parallel.

Don't think a few AAA's would really make a suitable power source for a 9mm 445? It'd run it, but not for very long.
