Ya, they released it on Star Wars day. They intentionally did that to get attention from Lucas Films. I'm pretty sure they saw a boost in sales the first time they got sued.

Publicity stunt, pure and simple.

If they were serious about selling a "new" laser, they would have put a 400-500mW 532 and a 1W 445(and maybe even a cheap 650, all pointing the same way of course) together in a bigger or slightly redesigned Arctic host.. Now that would sell, and they could fetch big $$ for it as well.

I have purchased 3 lasers from Wicked...all were excellent.I gave a core to a friend and retain an Evo Pro 40mw and a 100mw.Great, epic lasers.
But this latest offering from wicked seems to be FAIL.
Do they just want Lucas to go insane for the publicity/spite?Do they want to cause as many accidents as possible?Who knows...but when I buy another laser it will be from Jet Lasers.They seem nice and have great products.
Wicked just seems FAIL at this point.
Unbelievable EPIC stupidity....just idiotic.
Good luck on delivery for those who must own this idiotic exercise in horror show/snl skit doltishness.
