NJG-18, multimode boost driver for 445nm.. and possibly 650nm

Its always a pain presetting them for customers. I never know how many I will go through until I have one that works correctly, especially with operational modes.

Heh. I have already gone through 3 bad ones until I had a driver that output the desired current, didn't explode, and had clean modes. Lol.

Lastly there is a course linear. Linear is always "buck" and can have a dropout as low as .1V per amp. Maybe lower. So with a linear driver you could supply 2-3A at 3.7ish volts. 18650s measure 4.2V out of the box right? (my first are being shipped out right now for driver development). So you could theoretically pump 2As through a 445nm diode with a linear driver, your voltage though would still be 3.7V. Not sure what happens at that point but i'd assume the diode wouldn't be nearly as bright as pumping 2A at 5V.

The RCR123 cells are more limited in storage capacity for the same volume.

Two RCR123 cells output ~850 mah @ 8.4 VDC

vs.

One Panasonic 18650 outputing 3400 mah @ 4.2 VDC.
(twice the energy capacity)

On the 445nm diode, 3.7 VDC is NOT enough voltage for 2 amps of current.

On my direct-drive 445nm laser it takes ~ 4.2 VDC for 600ma.

5 VDC or more is required for most 445nm diodes.

i got a 1w 808 it nead 2.2v to 2.6v at 1.5a i nead a driver i wont to run it on a 3.7v
