I can't remember where, but I thought I read it was at 531nm. :thinking:

EDIT: This thread at LPF was from over a year a ago and mentions this. @514nm for the Nichia; the 531nm was in big bold green leters, thats why I remembered it, LOL..

Hmmm... look at all the gold wires connecting the dye. I think that might mean they are very inefficient. Usually diodes have more of those connections when they need to run at a higher wattage
If you're referring to the picture in my signature, that's not a green diode, it's an LED'd c-mount IR. Maybe I should add that next to the image :crackup:
Maybe in the distant future but I would love to see some 555nm diodes those will be the brightest diodes ever.

BUT, what will happen to sony's 6 watt green projector? Now we will be stuck with crappy diode bars, instead of nice dpss beams.
DPSS is affected by temperature changes and being that I'm in phoenix, the temperature in the winter time can get near freezing in fact a couple of years ago it snowed for about 5 minutes then started to hail and right now in the summer time, it gets to 120 degrees.I prefer diodes over dpss. Diodes are much more stable.
