Nichia 488 nm diode GB!

after months of spamming Nichia with requests to buy 10 488 nm diodes, they finally gave in. so the first 10 people who are willing to pay the grand total of ....................................... 1,500 dollars will receive engineering samples, shipped to their door.

That's 1/3rd the typical Nichia price for 488nm diodes (typically 300,000 Japanese Yen).

So, how do you explain the "price drop"?
(The GB "bulk quantity" of 10, is not a valid answer)
