New O-Like green modules

Did you ask Susie if she tested her modules for alignment? after all she's only listing 7 available on the website, & for the extra dollar they're charging you'd expect them to be top notch modules.

$132 would buy you the 200mw from O-Like not a 150mw ;)

& considering the O-like 150mw is most likely to be the new style aswell, It is allot, when compared to the 200mw from DX ~ $46.81 delivered!

Unless of course Susies ones are the better ones which are perfectly set, aligned & tested with a LPM before shipping them out.
 
But didn't the OP get a new style 150mW after he ordered an old style 150mW?

BTW if any of you guys want to wait, I'll let you know how mine turns out. I will be ordering it just as soon as my red module makes it through customs -- should be today.

that would be awesome. Is it the 150 or 200 that you're getting?

Yeah, but it's dirt cheap when you compare it to a CNI module. A >100mW module will cost you around $200. But that's with QC included... an option most Generic resellers don't offer.
 
If someone owns both the 150mw green o-like module and their new 200mw green module can you compare them side by side with beam shots. Also is the 200mw version visibly any brighter than the 150mw one, and can it burn matches easily? Are the beam divergence the same and beam size? I own the 150mw one already and use 2 AAA lithium 8x energizer batteries for it for 3.4 volts total, could I use a 18650 fully charged battery on this module at 4.2 volts or will it "FRY" this module?
 
Just got my 200mw module. However, as I don't have 3.0v CR123 batteries yet, nor Ehgemus host, I can't test it.

You mean, the host and batteries? Or you want me to comment on the look? It actually looks pretty neat and solid wrapped in anti-static film :) Susie packaged it well.
New-style dilda came along with it, so I have a 3.0v CR2, but unless I get really impatient, I won't test bare module with it and would rather wait for the acclaimed Ehgemus host. I'm getting used to things going slow with this laser business :)

Hey thanks for the heads up. Pretty much the only thing I'm really concerned with if its 1. Bright as hell 2. Runs just fine with a cr123.

Theres been a few concerns because it looks similar to the DX's crappy versions, also the amount of current it runs on. So let us know if it craps out on you or if it is a success. :wave:
 
OK. New-style 200mW red is very nice, but I played enough with it already, so I got kinda of bored and tried 200mW green with that 3.0v CR2 from the dilda and piece of wire after all. It IS very bright and has a thin beam. It may be even brighter than what I've seen after a small warm up period, as I only kept it on for like three seconds. Just wanted to reassure myself. Mission accomplished. I'm calm now. Looks like money was well spent :)
Will post pics when I get the host.

Thankyou thankyou thankyou. I needed to know this! Now I can make the 200mw green laser I always dreamed of. But.... I have to wait for some more cash :cryyy: whaaaaaaaaaaa :p
 
I'm still wary. I just think we need one or two LPM tests of the new style 200mW modules.
