Hi guys
After a few failures with the 16xBDR 209s at 600ma and 570ma
DTR Jordan was able to get me lasing again at a discount
But this time not with just any Xboost but with a new version by Lazeerer
Specifically for high power blueray diodes called NanoDrive V6
There not yet available in his store and I don't have too much information on them but this is a great addition to the many different drivers Angelos has been developing.
Honestly what would we do without these guys. Jeff included.:D

Since you mentioned them, I had also bought and used that drive last week on a 16x diode laser66 pen build that I have't shown yet. You should know that for the moment unless something has changed they are not adjustable and come set at 500mA. I did not test that setting before building the pen so I don't know how accurate that 500mA is. My pen tested at a bit over 700mW with a G2. Hopefully other outputs will be offered and certainly an adjustable would be the nicest.
The only information I currently have on them is what DTR was told and that is that they run at a lower frequency that drivers like the X-drive and X-boost and 405's are more sensitive to higher frequencies and that is some of the reason why they tend to die more often.
My apologies to Jordan if he didn't really want this information out there yet. Mention it because someone else mentioned it and questions will arise. Don't know anything else and I don't see them for general sale yet. They are obviously a Lazeerer design but I haven't looked to see if he is offering them yet.

Yes of course I did get permission to mention them and 500ma is perfect for the 16x I think. 700mw is nice.

I just never asked him so I only mentioned the driver very quickly in another thread. Wasn't saying you shouldn't have said anything I just dont know if he meant to tell others about it first or something. Just came out like I was telling you you shouldn't have said anything but I didn't mean it like that. He certainly didn't tell me not to say anything:) I really like small drivers with lots of space to fit inside a standard module especially if it leaves more space where the wires go out the small hole so there isn't stress on the driver and so you can also push some extra wire length inside it.

Hey badboybilly, or Pman, you wouldn't happen to know what the physical dimensions of this driver are would you?
It looks to be around 9mm x 12mm or so, but I'm just guessing.

Not sure as mine is already mounted and I would have to break the glue seal to pull it out. I will say that it is as small as anything else I've used. Best luck would be to ask Jordan.

Yeah, I could get more interested in these if they came adjustable or, at least, in a variety of currents. If I could get a 405nm at 1 watt or better that would be great.

Looks like a nice compact driver.

One thing I would recommend is some epoxy to take the stress off the laser diode leads.

Don't want to break the diode !

I personally use thermal adhesive in my mini builds to save the pins from breaking, however all DTR modules come with aluminium or copper backing to protect the driver And assist in heatsinking, l just took it off for the picks.

My order wasn't even sent out yet when I checked a couple days ago.
