hey guys. just wanted to say im new here and ive been reading up on a lot of the stickies and rules and what not. you guys have done an awesome job making this website what it is and im glad to be a part of it. I have lots of questions but im too scared people will blow up on me for not doing my research so all i can really do now is keep at it and read the threads.

Ive ordered a few lasers in the past but not like the ones a good few of you guys own. I had a couple 50-100mw green laser pens ordered off ebay and laserlands.com with the kaleidoscope attachments. Ive also messed around with one of the purple/blue laser from wickedlasers.com and they are absolutely fun as hell to burn stuff with. I'm not sure which host it was was but is definitely 500mw or more since it could make wood smoke within seconds.

But anyways im just trying to make friends and trying to find out how this site works and what not and hopefully soon I'll become a pro like you guys. Laser in general is the best hobby (or addiction) i have EVER come across. If you have any questions or comments please feel free.

I'm fairly new as well, so I understand your eagerness to just ask it all I can tell you there is a lot of info in the forum archive, so be creative with your searching and you'll uncover a wealth of info. Probably one of the most understated aspects of the laser hobby (other than here on LPF) is safety. Please take time to be safe. Other than that, have a blast! Glad you are here...
