New EliteLasers.com products! Introducing the AQUA Series and FOGGO Series!

A fourth thing, on your website under the "foggo" series
>May I ask where that name came from?
It has a link to buy safety glasses for $25, but that is also the price of the glasses for your green lasers?
Under the accessories part of your store, there is only one pair of glasses listed. Do you sell 2 different pairs or is there only one pair that you're also advertising to go with your red laser?

We don't want the uneducated to hurt themselves, seeing as the only pair in your accessories department is
"OD>4 for 200-540nm"
And your FOGGO laser is
"Red 650nm Laser"

Nice Eye, and when he wakes up we expect a Answer....

^^^1W 650/660nm laser, keep expecting.

I really hope I'm wrong ( I would love a 1W red for $300!) but in this case it seems far too good to be true.

Just a suggestion/thought to the OP... if you're confident about these products, send one of these lasers to a veteran on the forum for testing. I can assure you, if you offer genuine 1W red lasers, you'll have a ton of orders, mine included.

He's not sending them out free for testing but at a slightly discounted rate.

He's asking us to trust his claims. I think he should be able to do more than offer a discount to also show trust.

I mean if I ever try to sell a 445nm and claim that it's 4W... well I would expect to be questioned, and would expect to send the laser to a middleman for testing. (Such a build is way beyond my ability at the moment.)

This would be a really nice complement to our 1W blues, i sure hope it can deliver

I will buy a 1W red, if it is proven to be a 1W red. The testing pic could have been anything, and the defensive nature of his reply suggests dishonesty.

I hope I'm wrong, as all the "critics" here probably do.

If it was 1w red, I'd be down for a purchase aswell, but am a bit low on cash right now.

Maybe if this turns out legit, we can get a GB going...

Im low cash too but if I could get a true 1W red for $300 I'd find the money somehow.

I'm limiting myself to $80 for June on laser spending, but I'll drop the limit for a $300 1W red:eg:

A solid red beam is basically the holy grail of lasers to me.

Its quite obviously not 1000mW and my guess is that we will never see a true metering video of it.

Nope. Most likely if the OP comes back with anything it will be a metering of the 1W+ 445nm.

Best thing the OP can do at this point is actually post the results, as they are, and admit to making a mistake about the red laser.

@EliteLasers:

And one more thing:

Remember that the truth has a strange tendency to float...

And this works both ways. Soon enough someone here will buy the 1W red and review it.

If your red laser is really as good as you say it is, the list of buyers will be long from here to China. On the other hand, if it is a scam, You can forget about showing your face here.

Looks like he tucked his tail between the legs and ran away.:(
Oh well, that was no 1W Red anyhow, so what....

This was one of those situations that I can't understand.

A) We know he was lying,
B) He knows we know he was lying, and
C) He knows he was lying, too; and he knows we know, so we're actually all internally in agreement (heh).

... And in spite of all that, he still storms out in an indignant fit. Sorry to put it so convolutedly. The minds of scammers and the like, and the manner in which they can feign offense always intrigues me, to put it lightly.

The fact of the matter is, if he had legitimately been able to show the red light of that laser hitting the thermopile and it registering ~1w, he suddenly would have had so many sales he wouldn't be able to keep the thing in stock.

The very fact that such a simple shot, that would be such a boon to his business, didn't surface, shows that the whole thing was just an act, continuing the 'accepted' norm of chinese resellers beefing up ratings that apply to the unit only in fantasy.

Oh well. Was lurking and checking this thread in the hopes of seeing a follow up. I'm guessing now that it's not going to happen.

Maybe I'm just spoiled in waiting for the next wavelength or power breakthrough. :P
