yes parting tool.[/quote]

You must have access to a nice lathe.. I use a hobby / mini, which lacks a rigid enuff structure. Every time I attempt to use a parting tool it jams..

Well that, and im an amateur :-/

I gotta say I'm impressed! Great work on those!

When will we see a greenie kit + dark horse anodizing ;)?

I think it's hilarious that a month or so ago a guy (username "Spoz") asked if anyone would be interested in buying some similar hosts to what are pictured in this thread. He was going to have some made for himself, but needed more quantity for the machine shop to do it, and wasn't going to make any money at all. EVERYONE (and by everyone, I mean 95% of everyone who responded) jumped on his nuts about "that is too close to being a kryton!!! Blah blah blah you cant make that it's copying since it's a tube and it holds a laser!!!" lol.... BUT as soon as someone just goes and makes a host and THEN posts, everyone says how awesome it is.

Just for the record, I had no problem with what the other guy was doing, nor have any problem with what you have made.

I think your host looks great and I would be proud to sport a laser in one.

I just thought it's a bit interesting how things work around here sometimes, that's all :P

If a tube looks like a another tube its the end of the world. The End.

Yeah GG... That thought had crossed my mind as well... I understand that you don't stab your brother's
back... but there is only so many ways you can put Batteries and a Laser in a housing... Just like
the controversy over putting a lens into a threaded pre-manufactured/modified lens nut...
It is a little strange the way members here see things depending on which side of the counter
they're standing on.... ::)

BTW... I agree.... that is one nice host... 8-)
