Minichrome, one piece Cu sink. 280mW at 650nm

LOTTSA LUCK, pal !!! For the kind of QUALITY & CRAFTSMANSHIP that L.I.B. puts into his "CREATIONS", & that's what they are, 'TRUE WORKS OF ART' the price that he's asking makes this deal a veritable "STEAL". You'll have a VERY HARD TIME indeed trying to match the QUALITY, CRAFTSMANSHIP, LOVE & CARE with which he assembles his "CREATIONS", for the price he's charging for his products. I know, from 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th hand experience. He built me 3 lasers, all in the same host type, (the ROMISEN RC-A2). One Green, One Red, & One Blu-Ray or Violet, & when the Blu-Ray got stolen due to my carelessness, he built me an exact replica of the 1st Blu-Ray in the same host, even putting out the same amount of mW's. Now that's MY idea of a WELL-MADE LASER. You can spend less money somewhere else, but you'll never be able to match what you'd get for the money you'd spend when you buy from L.I.B. Just my opinion.................rob

Its the virtual village AR lens - they offer greater throughput than the AixiZ AR glass lenses not least because the AixiZ uses three spherical elements. The virtual village lens uses just the one element, and its likely aspheric as a result (thats a good thing)
Hmm... but they are acrylic, no? You ok with that?

Maybe that explains the fact why the original lens assembly you shipped to me with my Romired was brass-colored and the last two you sent me were black-coated? I just want to know what len(s) I have now so at least when I talk about them, I'm not talking BS... ;)

look at jay thread for different lens comparisons including the Virtual Village lens
Power Comparisons/Different Lenses/Red & Blu-ray!

Comparisons: (red open can)
AixiZ acrylic vs AixiZ glass - Gain 4 to 5%
AixiZ acrylic vs AR coated acrylic from Virtual Village - Gain 10%

I'm fairly sure those are all AixiZ glass lenses with AR coatings. The black coatings are the newer batch from AixiZ. The fact that the virtual village lens are AR acrylic is immaterial at this wavelength where absorption/photodamage is low to nil - what is important is the lens shape and surface quality/refractive index and AR coating. These all appear to be excellent. The only thing about acrylic is that its obviously softer than glass so if you plan to go poking it with a knife then maybe glass a better ;D .

becouse i hear more people about likeitbright, i agree and believe that he makes good quality stuff...
I have pmmed him with my best offer. My normal budget i thought of was about spending 60 ~ 90 dollar for a good laser. Now i see that lasers are not as cheap as i thought they where gonna be.

offtopic: i like this community, maby il try to hang out here sometimes :)

i have the feeling likeitbright is not receiving any pm's of me. I also pmmed him about a other laser that i was maby gonna buy for the price he asked for it. but he didnt send me anything back, ever.
Maby im gonna save some money for this one...because this thing looks solid and powerful.

anyone got a photo showing 280mw red at night?

I've sent you a pm. This laser now has a new owner but I intend to make another as its a great design. However you will need to convince me that your able to responsibly own this potentially dangerous device as I don't want an unqualified individual owning it.

alright :) to bad this one is sold though. i bet that new guy will have tons of fun out of it :)

Btw, Rob & I were wondering where you guys are getting these "Virtual Village" lenses... a quick search on Google only brought up these threads, lol :p

Originally from Ebay though Virtual village have a website and the lenses can be found on there also though it took a bit of searching.
