Minichrome, one piece Cu sink. 280mW at 650nm

for the price im assuming it has a meredith glass or meredith glass mod..

If it does i would look into buying it.

The Price is justified by the fact that the heatsink is copper, therefore the actual materials are more expensive, as well as the fact that copper is harder to machine than aluminium.

Also, it has a virtual village red lens IIRC. They are 10% more powerful than a aixiz glass

Yes, the virtual village is a single element AR lens with outstanding performance in all respects. I use this in preference to anything else. As for the price its a deal, if you consider the effort in making something this small out of one piece copper then well...Fitting the diode requires special tools. If you know anything about engineering you will know that the smaller tools are often more expensive than the bigger ones.

hmm this build looks beautiful. what battery does it run on?

I might pm you a request in the future for a private build !

Hey C, I'd figured that you'd forgotten our PMs on the subject, but here she is, what a little beauty!

A few Qs for ya; Does this build use the same LOC and lens as the RomiRed you make? Secondly, could you please post a pic of this host next to a Romisen, fir size comparison, please?

Thx & :beer:from Vienna, m8

Yes, thats right, the same LOC. I'll try for a pic later today - but the length is about 2/3 and the diameter about 1/2 of the Romisen host.

Its the virtual village AR lens - they offer greater throughput than the AixiZ AR glass lenses not least because the AixiZ uses three spherical elements. The virtual village lens uses just the one element, and its likely aspheric as a result (thats a good thing)

Lib builds true Laser art work of incredible quality, without a doubt the best Lasers in my collection.

Thanks for the nice comment gecko. Traveller, I hadn't forgotten but it too a while to finalise the design and then finally build it.
