PCBs are ordered today. I was suprised to find I was able to get them made for much cheaper than I expected and 3 day turnaround! But, assembly is still, by far, the largest part of the cost and I'm STILL waiting on the one assembler to get back to me with a quote. I do have a quote from the same company I'm having the PCBs made, but it seems a little high, so I'm still waiting on the other place. I will go with them if I don't have a quote from the other place by the time I get the PCBs and parts.
Anyway, since I was able to get the fast turn around on the PCBs, I should have the BARE boards next week along with the parts, which will then go off to the assembler (which ever one) to be assembled. The place I have a quote from already offered me a 1 week lead time (plus 3-5 days shipping), but I'll have to see what the other place can do (if they ever get back to me).
So, that means that, if there are no hold-ups, I should have them by the end of the month, possibly earlier.
