Thanks Paul, but it’s not fair on you to wait. I appreciate it though. I may of lost my job today. My contract has ran out and I have to wait for the decision to made whether or not it should be renewed again. Not hopeful this time tbh.
 





I hate to hear you might lose your job, Curtis. That really sucks. Here's hoping you are wrong and your contract will be renewed.

What am I missing?
Only the 2nd time iv'e heard of a direct 530nm diode and the 2nd being Tommy's water proof host 530nm available next to his 488nm.
Are these high binned WL 520's and low output. Do they have aweful beams specs?

Thanks SGD. I'm am still waiting for a definitive answer, but it is a inferred no at this point. Looks like i'll have to be patient.
 
Curtis, i'm sorry I skipped by your post about not knowing your job situation as the last post was 2 months ago:o Don't want you to think I was that insensitive.

I had no idea that was still up in the air, Curtis. I had assumed by now your contract had been renewed. I am holding onto good thoughts that you will get that renewal soon.

So tell me about these 530nm diodes. I’d love to get one to put next to 510 in my lumia. Just got my 405 445 462 473 blues running. Loving the combo. Will dump 445 and 473 I think. More power in 405 and 462 and nice color balance.
 
Thanks kecked. It’s safe to say I’m unemployed.
As for 530nm + diodes, they exist but I can’t find any commercial sources at this time. They used to be available at ThorLabs but they no longer list them. The best way of getting 530nm is via the spectral range of some 520, or 525nm centred diodes. It gets confusing as some suppliers offer 532nm ‘diodes’ but they are in fact mini dpss modules. If I find something on my search I’ll let you know.
 
Heck, 532 nm DPSS is close enough to 530, unless you must have a direct to wavelength diode produce 530 nm. Curtis, did you get your school paper problem fixed? I hope no bad news.
 
Currently you can't get hold of 532nm diodes, unless you want to go for expensive and very difficult to utilise butterfly laser diodes. I found the ThorLab's 531-533nm diodes, but as I said they are no longer listed.

Unfortunately, I've been jobless since the very end of March Chris. I've been hanging on, but no official response still.
 
What kind of work would you prefer? PM me if you want to take this to the side. I just meant 532 nm DPSS.
