This is a review of a laser sent to me by Rich, Lifetime17 as a gesture of kindness. It is an ML501P73 Mitsubishi diode in a copper heat sink with a G-2 lens inside a copper focus knob. He sent it with an Efest 700 mAh 14500 battery. It has a nano drive inside a camo finished Cree Ultafire mini-flashlight host.

This is a photo of the laser host and battery.

The laser in my Smallrig clamp and my Ultra-Pod II tripod.

Now I took several power readings of this laser because I was told it is over 1 watt in optical power. Each time I did a power graph of this laser, it was with a freshly charged battery and I also checked to make sure the battery's voltage was at 4.2 volts and all connections were good.

As you can see it measures 687 mW of optical power.

Here is a beam shot with this laser. Not bad at all. I am very pleased with this little beauty. It is easily the smallest Class IV 635nm laser I have and like all of Rich's work is very well constructed and the copper is clean and polished.

:thanks: For having a look.

Nice looking beam shot. Yes Rich does some great work. Enjoy that pocket sized light saber. :)

Thank you, Dan and Bob. I really do love this little beauty. It is something to be so small, but yet such a nice beam producer. :D

Hi Paul,
Thank you for such a great review nice work your part as always . beam shots are sweet in the photos, glad you like the camo pattern they are different from the straight black EDC's i also make .Here is one with a beam expander adapter i make for the 3X Sanwu and i make them for other hosts and Beam expanders to. Again thank you paul for the write up buddy.

Rich:)

No, Rich. Thank you for the very nice laser you sent to me at no cost to me. That was very kind, indeed.

Hot damn Lifetime that Cree looks amazing with the 3X Sanwu. How much would one of those cost to get made? Also what size battery probably 1 16340 right?

Actually, Billy, it takes a 14500 which is the size of a AA battery. It isn't the same voltage, though. It is a Li-ion battery, so it is 4.2 volts fully charged. The battery in the first photo is 700 mAh.

Just realized that the one Lifetime posted was the same host just different heatsink and color. Thanks Paul.

Hi,
Glad you like it Paul enjoy buddy Going to be making some SM builds in them soon to.
@ BBB,
If you like the BE adapters check this out and thank you for the kind words pal

Rich:)

Very nice :) I can't wait to order a custom heat sink from lifetime for my next build.

Hi, Jeff. Yes, Rich does some nice work as can be seen here. I recommend him to anyone looking for a unique host or heat sink.
