This is a review of a laser sent to me by Rich, Lifetime17 as a gesture of kindness. It is an ML501P73 Mitsubishi diode in a copper heat sink with a G-2 lens inside a copper focus knob. He sent it with an Efest 700 mAh 14500 battery. It has a nano drive inside a camo finished Cree Ultafire mini-flashlight host.
This is a photo of the laser host and battery.
The laser in my Smallrig clamp and my Ultra-Pod II tripod.
Now I took several power readings of this laser because I was told it is over 1 watt in optical power. Each time I did a power graph of this laser, it was with a freshly charged battery and I also checked to make sure the battery's voltage was at 4.2 volts and all connections were good.
As you can see it measures 687 mW of optical power.
Here is a beam shot with this laser. Not bad at all. I am very pleased with this little beauty. It is easily the smallest Class IV 635nm laser I have and like all of Rich's work is very well constructed and the copper is clean and polished.
:thanks: For having a look.
