Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

Dr.Lava, my flexdrive came today. Its awesome. It shipped on the 12th and arrived in Australia on the 1st. Totally worth it.

People say its small, but god damn! This thing is freaking awesome.

Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

I just wanted to chime in and say that this driver surpassed my expectations in build quality and ease of use. Shipping was very fast and this is a very solid, quality product. Thanks for your hard work.

Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

Recieved mine today, Thanks!
It´s so tiny! ;D I knew that it would be small, but not that small...

Well, so it's been a week.Is the doc back? I'm especially worried about my credit card, I hope there won't be any problems with that now. :-/
By the way, use Rckstrs test load to measure current. Measure mV across the 0.1 ohm resistor, the formula is: 1mV=1mA

Actually, the formula, aka "Ohm's law", is I = U/R

If you use a 0.1 ohm resistor, then I = U/0.1, meaning 1mV = 10mA.. Only if you use a 1 ohm resistor does 1mV mean 1mA, because there R = 1, and U/1 = U.
My bad...

Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

:D thanks, laser successfully created, its awesome! just one question, it seems that i can't set pot to output more then 80mA. could it be ebcause of the wires or am i missing something? how to operate pot correctly?

In the lower range, I have never gotten one to put out more than 100mA

At the upper limit of the pot turn, it is very sensitive to small turns.

Peace,
dave

Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

The upper limit of the low range seems to be about 106mA experimentally, and the lower limit of the high range starting out around 112mA in my tests. turn very sloowly :)

Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

havent ever used one of these before. can it run efficiently on 2 Ni-MH batteries? just wondering cuz it says 2.5v min. and these would be 2.4v :-/

It can, it will even work down to 2.3V, but it's best if you don't try to power 400mA with that combination, keep it to blu-ray.
