Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

is it possible to get one of these drivers for a blu-ray diode, but pre cut so it fits into an aixiz case?

I haven't seen the newest version, but the drlava flexdrive can't be cut down to fit inside a module. It can be cut down enough to fit inside a pen type host (like an LEDlight), but that is about it. I think that the only "commercially" available driver that fits inside an AixiZ is the Rkcstr driver. There are some others that are available as "custom" builds.

Peace,
dave

Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

sadly this is the only boost driver ive seen for blu-ray.

i want a driver that boost 3v to 5v for blu-ray and fits into an aixiz case.

maybe im asking to much ;)

Contact Rkcstr or IgorT.

Peace,
dave

P.S. 5V is too little for the 803T at higher outputs.

Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

ok will do, but didnt think they did boost?

Why do you want it to fit inside the aixiz casing? I can't think of too many reasons this would be desirable.

robjdixon, for some reason it was returned to me in the mail after a few weeks (I think the post office confused sender and recipient). I'll try mailing it again.

I was just thinking the same thing. Unless you are limited by the "host" in a hand held, why put it inside an AixiZ?

Peace,
dave

Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

umm keep it all neat and tidy.

ill see what i can do, love the driver just wish it was a few mm shorter

Or thinner ;)

I think I've used 10 of these since drlava started selling them.

Peace,
dave

Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

ive got a leadlight case and its still 1mm to wide for that

love the driver dont get me wrong

Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

I'm using three AAA's and pushing 185mW out with a flexdrive.

You'll have to have drlava explain it (I talk for a living), but if you add another battery, make sure you turn the current back down before you power up the diode.

Peace,
dave

**EDIT** Something else just struck me. Are you using the "low range" (blu-ray) driver? To get to the higher outputs, you need the high range driver. My 185mW unit is being driven by 200mA. I routinely drive these at 180mA.

Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

not a clue, ive just got one of his drivers and am trying to put it in and leadlight case.

so using 2x aa batts
