This is a review of this laser:
4-In-1 200mw 532nm Handheld Green Laser Pointer
Compliments of the special deal LPF has going on with them right now.

To start things off, I placed my order 11/28, and it arrived at my house on 12/11. I'd say the shipping is quite satisfactory.

Here is how it was packaged:

And the box:

It has a nice front-flip lid that is held down with a magnet.

Inside, it has a nice layer of foam all around the laser and other little bits in the box.

Battery extension tube, normal dot lens head, tailcap+keys, and host + 4-in-1 diffraction head.

This laser is meant to run off a single CR123 cell...

...Or, an 18650 when using the extension tube!

A look at the tailcap and keys.

And, it lases!

Now for my thoughts on the laser.

Overall, I am satisfied. The host feels nice, The divergence is amazing (shone onto a building 2 miles away, beam looked insanely tiny!), and it is focusable.
It is definitely not 200mw. It's the strongest green I have owned to date, but I don't think it's 200mw. I would verify it myself with an LPM, but I don't have one.
A little issue though, that may or may not be of an issue for other people. My battery extension tube doesn't thread more than two turns into the host. It just stops and gets stuck a fourth of the way in. This isn't much of a biggie for me, since I could use it either way, but for someone with only one type of batteries, this would have been a problem.
Secondly, the module is not exactly straight. It points off at, oh, a 5-7 degree angle to the left of the aperture? I've seen far, far, FAR worse though.

At the price this was, I'm not all too surprised at these two issues, but I was a little taken back since it has a 'quality check passed" sticker on the side after I noticed them. This wouldn't pass QC in my book.

Overall, I'd rate it a 6.5/10.
Beam is nice and tight, host feels nice.
Shipping was fast, and box wasn't destroyed.
Not up to advertised spec (of course), battery extension tube doesn't thread in, and module is misaligned.

It would make a decent stocking stuffer for any hobbyist.

Oh yeah! And about the changeable head (normal dot or patterns):

The 4-in-1 diffraction head thing screws onto the end of the host. It has two different twist able parts on it. One of them is to switch between the 4 diffraction types, and the other is to make everything all pretty.

That can be checked out at the source link, not much of a point in posting them here.

When you don't want to use the special diffraction head, you just unscrew it and screw the normal endpiece back on.

"Laser Dance":wtf::crackup:

Nice review! I guess you get what you pay for but at least it not too shabby for its price. That is a really bad misalignment. I would use it more for the patterns that for pointing.

Hi wheedy,

Thanks for your justifiable and true view of the products.
Thanks for your rate.

About the two issues, i will report them to the staff in charge of it and ask them to do a overall check about this and find what the problem is.

All in all, thanks so much for your support and review which give me much power to work harder and solve the errors and problems of the products on our sites.

Hope i can do more for all of you in the future work.

Yours
Kaidy

I got this laser without the deal about 4 months ago. I´m quite satisfied with it, especially for the price. Output power is 110mW.

That's up to you. I'd go ahead and do your own, I can just link back to your charts. With 6 of them, you'll get a good range of results, and we can find a good 'average' power for them.

You're welcome for the review.

I'd like to say thank you for having such a good outreach to us here on the forums, it goes a long way. Although there were the small issues with mine, I'm not put off my Lasersman, and will be ordering things from there again in the future.

Got mine today. Looks aligned but do have a "streak" out to the side which is obviously the lens. Proper cleaning had no affect. Remove lens and it looks essentially perfectly round. LPM'd at 106mw. OK for <20 $

IMHO you should do one or the other--:shhh:
Kaidy needs our FB to show her 'leaders' that her special price was justified- thus we may see more deals like this one was.

-good or bad-- its considered sorta good manners to review 'special' deals, GBs-- and especially sample items( we DO need to know if you paid full price or less than or free:tsk:)-
In time we will also know if your laser was 'cherrypicked':undecided:

This is why many here will order and pay full price w/o the seller knowing the laser will be reviewed. Some members 'take one for the team' and even test the laser to death.. THATS a true team player!!:beer::beer:

Reviews help( or dont help) the seller but also the forum as well.

Good form asking the OP btw, its rare that an OP would say-'go start your own thread' if asked before..., but some may tell you that... if it seems to them they are being threadjacked by you.

Good Job Wheedy- +rep when I can...hak:na:

I will say that for an inexpensive unit I like the 16340/18650 option with the extension tube and the threads on all my joints were much better than others I have in this price range. As Wheedy mentioned, it comes with a very interesting difraction head that I've never seen before. Was worth the price for me just to have somehting different like that. Noticed that the spring inside is a bit cocked to the side (not aligned/centered) and I'm going to take a look at that this morning and see what's up.
Might change out the lens if someone (Kaidy maybe?) could tell me the specifics.
Haks input/suggestions make ALOT of sense. Noone (at least I hope) really wants to bad mouth a company/seller. It would be nice if all the units I have purchased met spec but this just isn't the case. There's no way I expected to actually get a 200mw unit and am satisfied it was over a 100.
I have certainly received plenty of units from "whoever" that WAY exceeded my expectations. Surprized at just how many "pen" type $5 dollar Ebay items there are that LPM around 100mw + or -.
They give me something I can enjoy taking apart or using in an environment (such as high moisture content (rain/snow/mist) where I wouldn't take my "showpieces" :)

Looking forward to the 6 unit review....

Great Review!
I too received my 4-in-1.
Shipping was fast (after slight problem with check-out not acknowledging my payment)

I don't see the mis-alignment issue...yet (but I am relatively new at this)

But I also cannot get the extension tube to thread.
I only have the 123 batteries around at this time so is not an issue for now.

Also, I understood you were able to focus this laser? Was I mistaken or just not seeing how this is done.

Overall...I am pleased with the intensity of the laser. Hope to measure some day, but it is extreme next to my <5mw green.

Thanks for the deal!
