why not?
you wont get LSX to your door working without shipping and a dongle or riya first of all
oh crap your right sorry the lite version is 129 the basic is 189 woops:beer:
i only need lite i think but why wont it work without the dongle and +7 for shipping sorrry
I suppose it could work, shit I suppose you could score everything used for $5, it may take some time to get that together though...
Respectfully, we are building laser projectors here, some of us with 3 or more colors. Where the DAC/Software is something like 10% the total projector cost. Do you really want to bottleneck your projector by skimping on the hardware/software configuration? Also don't understand how an Audiolase DAC which is pretty much equally comparable to the Riya cant be justified at the same price, at least with the audiolase you have a couple more channels to do something with. Anyways, I got my QS+FB3 for 468$(can't disclose my source) brand new shipped, and it was at my door 3 days after I placed an order. Time is money, placing an order and having to wait weeks before receiving it form a couple states away sucks. And piece of mind has a price also, I am confident my future laser problems wont be due to dac/software, and if I do have a problem, i'll be backed by something like 25 years of experience and some of the best customer support out there(nothing else on my projector has that kind of support).I hear ya tho, if ya cant afford it ya cant afford it.
Audio DAC's have more bits than RIYA anyways. I agree with what you say about the software/DAC being a fraction of the cost. My GB (was going to be RGB didn't have 800$ for the red) projector (DT 30's a really nice homemade 445 (Prisms + 405-g-1) and a 300mW green laser has cost me around 3000$ (DAC + software included in cost) (First timer, I made a lot of costly mistakes)
500$ Software/DAC isn't much in the grand scheme of things. ESPECIALLY since I will be getting more projectors in the future.
Yep, things start adding up really fast.
... im actually going to keep my audiolase dac only cuz I just figured out how to play laseroids.
lol, I didn't even think my accent was that bad until I started talking in my videos, I don't like it at all
And yeah, of course it's free when you buy the FB3, but the point was the FB3 is <$100 worth of parts, the rest of the money is in the software
i use LSX for a couple of months already and am very happy.
Drlava indeed responds slowly on skype, but when he does, he's very helpful. He actually fixed some bugs i noticed in LSX, and he does it very fast. i also had problems with a cable and he send a complete new one. (although the new one isnt really much better).
i never ever used QS, but know from people with desame hobby that it is not easy to make beamshows. Its all there to make it beautiful but sometimes you have to dit a bit. in LSX its real easy to make a show without alot of knowlegde.
