The nicest colors are in between 600 and 635nm. I hope the direct diodes version will come out soon. :D

Wasn't there word for a 609-610 diode? The orangies are nice but yellow green and cyan are favorable as well.

Maybe it's because of my monitor, but I'd have to disagree with the representation of the orange spectrum.

That image puts orange around 625, whereas 612, and 604, are a couple distinguishable oranges, not yellows.

There are orange cryogenic diodes. Example, the 622nm C-Mount diodes. Though they need 5*C to run, and are VERY picky.

Think its just your monitor. Mine has 600nm right around the middle of the oranges. Then again, my monitor is almost 10 years old.

This spectrum seems quite realistic to me. Maybe 450 should be a little darker and the low 500 a little bluer but still one of the best spectrums IMHO.

Tilt your screen a little bit to get the colors correct,
I'm using a laptop ATM and when i tilt my screen back it makes a hell of alot difference and matches the nm up to pretty much exact !

I fancy a color range around 460nm and a 580nm <--- Looks pretty sick :)
