Idk if it's helpful, but (provided the price is within a good range) i'll buy the Nerfaser. It took my fancy after you showed me a picture of it.

With the HeNe tube...Ever since I saw those gas lasers I thought "Hot D*MN! that looks kicka**" BUT, what do I need to run it? You're selling one for $20, what else do I need? I dont care about it burning anything, I just think its looks SO COOL!

Actually you'd just need a psu for the hene.

Sadly the Nerfaser got stolen. Ie. never returned. Considering it only had a 5mw in it, it's not that big of a loss. However the doggone guns go for $28 and that's a lot of money in my world right now.. LOL

Dog gammit... I definitely would have bought that.

I will definitely consider buying that beam combiner if it would work for a red and another colour, e.g. to get a red & green beam combined into a yellow, or a red & BluRay combined into a magenta. That would be something worth paying\working for.

Anything else available to the casual 17-year-old hobbyist with a fairly tight budget?

Hmmm... that "random host" and the spirograph are tempting me.

Few questions:
(1) How big are the little black boxes? Preferably in cm. Us Brits like the metric system.
(2) What batteries are the "random host" supposed to take?
(3) What are the dimensions on the diode in the "random host"?
(4) What is a laserone spirograph? How many mirrors, what colour & power diode & how much control does the user exert over the patterns formed by it?


Sorry if that's too many questions. I do that sometimes...

I reported the perfectlaser-message + my post 1 min after I wrote it. So, the perfectlaser-user read the message + mod was quickly able to delete both messages, I also added a "sorry". But it simple piss me off when such a guy spam such a thread...
