Well as I explained, I've been living here for now +4 yrs.
I have NO problem with respect your elders,stuff.
Problem here is that confucianism is taken to the ninth degree.
As such it makes for a great deal of poor communication skills and
Social skills. Socialization at school here is virtually non existent, and
what social skills are taught are that "competition" is everything.
You combine this with the attitude that if a person is older
They have a right to treat you like garbage routine,
Some of the worst immature outbursts I have ever seen happen ONLY in Korea.
Societies norms are reflected in classroom behaviour.
What I witnessed here in public school shows me how
defunct the societal model is.
