That's terrible! I really hope he is doing okay and I really hope he recovers soon! Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. Best of wishes to him from me. Hope to see him back to 100% soon!

If there is anyway to find out if we can do anything please let us know. I would hate to think that he was in a hospital somewhere and we weren't able to do anything.

On the other hand, maybe it was something he knew was coming up and he said he was going to be "reading some books" because he didn't want to be bothered?

I'd rather err on the side of bothering him though!

In all seriousness, I've only known Dave for a relatively short period of time but I have already really learned from him and been helped out by him here on the forum. Please let us know if there is anything we can do and also let us know if we can help YOU if this is difficult for you to coordinate.

That's good. If he is recovering and wants this to remain (relatively) private then I respect that. I just wanted to make sure something didn't happen that left him unable to access the forum and I would hate to know he could have used our help or support and we didn't know that.

I'm sure the forum would rally around him if that were the case.

I'll leave it at that as long as you are comfortable that we don't need to be involved. But please let us know if something comes up that makes you think he does need anything from us here. I would certainly want to show my respect and appreciation by helping out if it was needed. And I am fairly sure that I would be surrounded by others who would help as well.
