Finally at the last bar while the string is outside, he twists his head around and messes up his hair, walks up to the bartender and asks for a beer, bartender says" I can't give you a beer". The string asks "Why not?" Bartender says " Your a string ain't 'cha ?" String says" nope, I'm a frayed knot."
